So, I went out shopping to get my Fiancée a new Hardshell jacket, and I came home with one of these for me! Oops! but why, when I have a perfectly good jacket already...well...

I'd already got a pair of Mammatus pants (see other review) and when I saw the jacket in the sale, I couldn't help but try it on, and it just felt so nice. The cut is good, and well thought out, the jacket's light, thin, but performs well thanks to the latest invention from the folks at Gore...it's got pockets in the right places, high enough to allow a harness to be worn, or to access them with a rucksack on.

The hood might seem a bit roomy at first, but it's been designed with a helmet in mind, something a lot of jackets over-look.

Unfortunately, the North Face are rapidly loosing their respect in the outdoor market since they've become a fashion trend, but then they throw out a product like this and redeem themselves again...lets see more of the good stuff guys? and maybe drop off on the cost a touch?

and what of my Fiancée's new jacket? well, I bought her one of these too!
