Woolweight gloves are reasonably warm and versatile. While wool breathes well, the leather palm adds the durability so that they can be used both as liner gloves as well as stand alone gloves while ski touring. I'm not very happy with their durability however, I bought two pairs of these and first pair got holes in it in less than 6 months and totally wrecked in 10 months. At the moment it seems that also the second pair will be at end of usable life time within 12 months of purchase. Part of the story is of course the fact that I'm climbing / ski touring a bit more than I used to, but I would still expect that any piece of clothing would last more than 12 months.

Devold Expedition line features double layer merino construction and therefore they're as warm as merino shirt gets. Build quality is excellent and design generally works. The only complaint perhaps is the collar, which is a bit too high to be compatible with further layers of mine (like fleece). I mean it works, but it could work better.

Thanks to their double layer construction Devold Expedition Merino gear is really warm. The design (though it's not a complex product) works as well and they're excellent in terms of overall quality.
